April 2022

Crimes of the Month


The following incidents have been listed by Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous as the April 2022 Crimes of the Month. 

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

1. OUPD is seeking information on the vandalism of numerous locks in Jefferson Hall that were glued shut. The locks sustained irreparable damage leading to extensive replacement costs. The vandalism has continued to occur throughout the semester. The Board has approved a $1000.00 cash reward for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person(s) involved.2. Since the beginning of December, 2021 Athens Police have received several reports of theft of catalytic converts from vehicles. The Board has approved a $1000.00 cash reward for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person(s) involved. 
3. Athens police are seeking information regarding the Breaking & Entering of the city of Athens maintenance shop at the Community Center on E. State St. Several items were stolen during the break-in. The Board has approved a $1000.00 cash reward for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person(s) involved.

March 2022

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

February 2022

Crimes of the Month

The following incidents have been listed by Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous as the February 2022 Crimes of the Month. 

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

1.  On November 30, 2021, Athens Police received a report of a stolen 2007 Red four door Jeep Wrangler. A suspect in the case has been identified, however the Jeep is missing. A firearm was also stolen along with the vehicle. The Board has approved a $1000.00 cash reward for information which leads to the recovery of the Jeep and or the firearm.    
2. Since the beginning of December 2021,  Athens Police have received several reports of theft of catalytic converts from vehicles. The Board has approved a $1000.00 cash reward for information leading to arrest or indictment of the person(s) involved. 

3. Athens Police have received 3 separate reports of stolen vehicles from Carriage Hill Dr. since the beginning of December 22, 2021. The Board has approved a $1000.00 cash reward for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person(s) involved.


January 2022

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.
