The Ohio University Police Department needs your information to assist in their investigation of a strong-armed robbery that occurred on campus at approximately 9:27 p.m. on Friday evening August 27, 2010.
A male was walking from College St. onto the green when he saw three unknown males following him. He was near Wilson Hall when the same three males approached him from behind and two of the three took him to the ground and removed his wallet and they ran away.
Suspect number one was identified as being a white male, late 20s to early 30s, approximately 6'0", wearing a white sleeveless t-shirt. Suspect number two was a white male, late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5'9" to 5' 11", wearing jean shorts and a white t-shirt. Suspect number three was a white male, late 30s to early 40s, approximately 5' 8" to 5' 9", 190-200 lbs., wearing a darker colored t-shirt with white skulls on it.
Hocking College Police are requesting information regarding racist graffiti that was found written on a wall of a building on the campus of Hocking College. On Wednesday evening, July 21st, 2010 at 6:00 p.m., the racist graffiti was discovered on the wall of the mens bathroom on the third floor of Oakley Hall.
The Athens County Sheriffs Office is seeking your information regarding a breaking and entering at a local pharmacy. On September 5, 2010 at 1:28 AM an alarm sound at Fruth's Pharmacy located at 8972 United Lane, Athens, Ohio. When officers arrived they found that the front door had been pried on but the person doing the prying was not successful. The person then used a small sledge hammer and broke out the front door. Found at the scene was a yellow handled pry bar and a small sledge hammer. There was one suspect with a blue coat with white letters on the back, a dark colored hat, light blue jeans, black shoes and black gloves. It was pills the individual was after. It is unknown at this time the amount that was taken.
Athens City Police are requesting information on the person or persons responsible for the theft of wire from the Verizon/Frontier storage compound on W. Union St. During the weekend of June 18th through June 21st and July 2nd through July 6th and the nights of Friday July 9th and Tuesday July 13th, unknown persons entered the storage compound and stole several thousand feet of telephone wire from spools resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars to Verizon/Frontier. It is suspected that the stolen wire was then taken to an unknown location where the rubber coating was burnt off of the wiring before it was taken to a scrap yard and sold.
