These are “Crime Assistance Tips” from The Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous Board regarding stolen property. It’s unfortunate that people steal others property.
This is one of the most common crimes.
One thing you can do to help law enforcement recover your stolen valuables is to make sure, you have a record of what you have in the first place.
For instance: Make a list of what you have
What company made it?
Does it have model, name or serial number to record?
If there isn’t a number you can assign your own number or marking to it , put it on your property and keep a secure record of it.
If it’s a secure electronic record then you can access it remotely as well.
A little bit of recording effort now can make a big difference later if you have something stolen. Supply this information in a police report and if its recovered then it could be a lot more likely that you can get it back with this available information.
Thanks
