December 2021

Crimes of the Month


The following incidents have been listed by Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous as the December 2021 Crimes of the Month. 

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.
1.  On August 6, 2021, the Athens post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a report of a body found in the roadway on Vore Ridge Road near State Route 691. The deceased was identified as Seeley Hall Jr. Age 38 of Athens, Ohio. The Board has approved a $2000.00 cash reward for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or person(s) involved.   
2. On or about November 18, 2021, Athens Police responded to a theft from Greenleaf Landscapes, on Columbus Rd. in Athens. Several equipment items were stolen. The Board has approved a $500.00 cash reward for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or person(s) involved. 

November 2021

Crimes of the Month


The following incidents have been listed by Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous as the November 2021 Crimes of the Month. 

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

1. The Athens County Sheriff's Office is investigating the disappearance of Kyle Bridgeman.  Mr. Bridgeman has been reported as missing since June 4, 2021.  The Board has approved a $2000.00 cash reward for information that leads to the location of Kyle Bridgeman.

2. On August 6, 2021, the Athens post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a report of a body found in the roadway on Vore Ridge Road near State Route 691.  The deceased was identified as Seeley Hall Jr., age 38, of Athens, Ohio.  The Board has approved a $2000.00 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons involved. 

3. On October 23, 2021, the Athens Police received a report of a strong arm robbery that occurred at approximately 0400 HRS, on E. Washington St. near the Athens City Building. Two suspects were involved in the incident. The suspects fled to the alley near Pita Pit and onto N. Court St. before entering a S.U.V. unknown, make model, or color. The Board has approved a $500.00 cash reward for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or person(s) involved.


October 2021

Crimes of the Month


The following incidents have been listed by Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous as the September 2021 Crimes of the Month. 

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

3. On August 30, 2021, unknown person(s) stole catalytic converters from UPS vehicles on W. Union St. in Athens, Ohio.  The board has approved a $500.00 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons involved.

4. Between the dates of September 17, and September 19, 2021, The Athens Church of Christ, located at 785 W. Union St. was the victim of a breaking and entering. The Board has approved a $1000.00 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of indictment of the person(s) involved. 

September 2021

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

1. On July 9, 2021, Athens police responded to a report of a gunshot in the area of Mill Street near Domino's. The suspect is described as a Black male, driving a silver Chevy Cobalt.  The Board has approved a $2000.00 cash reward for information, which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons involved.

2. On July 10, 2021, unknown person(s) stole catalytic converters from Frontier Communications vehicles on W. Union Street in Athens, Ohio.  The Board has approved a $1000.00 cash reward for information, which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons involved. 


July 2021

Crimes of the Month


The following incident has been listed by Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous as the July 2021 Crime of the Month. 

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

1. On June 27, 2021, Athens Police received a report of a possible B&E at a City of Athens storage building, located on Hudson St. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime over the previous week. The Board has approved a $500.00 cash reward for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or person involved.

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

1. On 8-17-20 at 9:37am, The Athens City Police Department responded to Hocking Valley Bank, 936 E State St, in reference to an armed robbery. Witness described the suspect as white male, 6’00”, thin build, short hair with shaved sides, and a raised bump on his forehead. The suspect brandished a firearm and fled with an unknown amount of money. The Board has approved a reward of $2000.00, for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible.

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

1. On 8-17-20 at 9:37am, The Athens City Police Department responded to Hocking Valley Bank, 936 E State St, in reference to an armed robbery. Witness described the suspect as white male, 6’00”, thin build, short hair with shaved sides, and a raised bump on his forehead. The suspect brandished a firearm and fled with an unknown amount of money. The Board has approved a reward of $2000.00, for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible. 

2. On April 25, 2021 Athens Police were called to Hocking Street at approximately 2:45 AM, in reference to gun shots in the area. A witness indicated that a crowd of people were fighting when the shots were fired. Officers recovered evidence that shots had been fired. The board has approved an award of $500.00 for information which leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible.



April 2021

The following incident has been listed by Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous as the April 2021 Crime of the Month. 

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

On 8-17-20 at 9:37am, The Athens City Police Department responded to Hocking Valley Bank, 936 E State St, in reference to an armed robbery. Witness described the suspect as white male, 6’0”, thin build, short hair with shaved sides, and a raised bump on his forehead (see attached photos). The suspect brandished a firearm and fled with an unknown amount of money. The Board has approved a reward of $2000.00, for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible.
March 2021

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.

On 8-17-20 at 9:37am, The Athens City Police Department responded to Hocking Valley Bank, 936 E State St, in reference to an armed robbery. Witness described the suspect as white male, 6’0”, thin build, short hair with shaved sides, and a raised bump on his forehead (see attached photos). The Board has approved a reward of $2000.00, for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible.

February 2021

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.
  1. On 8-17-20 at 9:37am, The Athens City Police Department responded to Hocking Valley Bank, 936 E State St, in reference to an armed robbery. Witness described the suspect as white male, 6’0”, thin build, short hair with shaved sides, and a raised bump on his forehead (see attached photos). The suspect brandished a firearm and fled with an unknown amount of money. The Board has approved a reward of $2000.00, for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible. 

2. Between the 21st and 23rd of November, 2020, the City of Athens storage facility at 93 Hudson Ave. was broken into. The board has approved a $1000.00 reward for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the suspect(s). 


January 2021

The following incidents have been listed by Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous as the January 2021 Crimes of the Month. 

The Athens Police Department is requesting your information pertaining to a series of crimes which occurred in the City.
  1. On 8-17-20 at 9:37am, The Athens City Police Department responded to Hocking Valley Bank, 936 E State St, in reference to an armed robbery. Witness described the suspect as white male, 6’00”, thin build, short hair with shaved sides, and a raised bump on his forehead (see attached photos). The suspect brandished a firearm and fled with an unknown amount of money. The Board has approved a reward of $2000.00, for information which leads to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible.
